Wrach Channel / Cardiff Bay Outer Harbour Approach Channel

 

 
REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF CHANNEL MARKER BUOY

Notice is hereby given that on Friday 25 June 2004 or shortly thereafter the South Cardinal Number ‘1’ buoy (the first buoy on the mariner’s starboard hand when entering Cardiff Bay Outer Harbour approach channel from seaward) in position 51° 26.63’N 003° 09.77’W will be removed and replaced by a Preferred Channel to Starboard buoy,

The new buoy, to be identified as the ‘Barrage’ buoy, is can shaped and red in colour with one green horizontal band at mid height.  The buoy’s light has a characteristic of FI R (2+1) 10 secs and a range of 3 nautical miles.

PORT OF CARDIFF – CHANGE OF MAIN VHF WORKING CHANNEL

Notice is hereby given that from 0001hrs on Sunday 1 August 2004 the main VHF marine operations working channel for the Port of Cardiff will be Channel 68.

Secondary VHF working channels will be channel 9 and channel 13.
