No vessel shall
moor, attach anything to nor allow anyone to climb onto any navigation
buoy or structure without the permission of the Harbour Authority.
There are several
scientific monitoring buoys stationed around the Bay, which house
sensitive instruments. These may be easily damaged.
The Maritime
Heritage of Cardiff bay includes many disused wharves, coaling
staithes, jetties and dolphins. Many of these are now in a
dangerous state and mariners are advised to give them a wide berth.
